Greg Broadmore:
Here is my winner for the competition. I was incredibly impressed by the variety of entries and quite a few really stood out. It was a tricky choice.
I didn`t choose my winner based simply on aesthetics or technical skill, as, well, that would make things too easy! I chose my winner mainly on it`s thoughtful and inventive way of looking at the concept.
The 99 DS exhibition was not about taking itself too seriously, and there were a bunch of really cute and funny entries that made choosing a winner very difficult. A couple of those, as well as one that was technically beautiful are also listed here as commendations.
My winner:
99 Contest: Pocket full of change (99 cents)
Artist: Gerald de Dios
I thought Geralds entry was a really great, simple rendering that gestured the 99 concept from an unique tangent. Thanks for taking the time to create a great entry and I hope you enjoy the 99 Dodgy Slips book!
I also want to compliment:
Someone get the number on that license plate!
Artist: chrisgentes
This one was really funny and it was cool to see these new realisations of Christain`s and my pieces incorporated in the effort.
99 Tears
Artist: serio
Great stuff. I feel bad for those lil` guys. But now very grateful for my DS.
99 Days stranded
Artist: Harbadakus
Wow, great rendering. This piece deserves a high five just cos it`s rad.
I wish we had more prizes to give out as there so many great entries, too many to list here.
Thanks to every one for their effort.
